This Program is one of the achievements of ICENECDEV.

ICENECDEV is currently carried a forest sensitization program at the foot of mount Cameroon in the south west region in Cameroon every Saturday.

This program is aimed to reduce deforestation and promote the fight against climate change

Volunteers from ICENECDEV climb the steep hills of mount Cameroon to sensitize and educate the youths and local farmers who cut down the trees for fuel and burn down the vegetation for agriculture.

ICENECDEV produce and distribute over 126 newsletters on deforestation to youths and local farmers between the ages of 5-63years in the upper forest region on mount Cameroon in the south west region.

The youths and local farmers complained of lack finance to use other source of fuel and the prefer the wood that is cheap and available at all times.

The youths promised to take the newsletter home and educate their friends in the community and in schools. And advice their parents on the importance of trees in the society.

This program has brought about greater awareness among the youths and local farmers in Buea especially on the importance of trees to the environment and the impact of climate change in our communities in the longrun
